Year 10 exams

The year is almost over! And all that is left is year 10 exams before roll-over. I'm looking forward to trying out year 11 and meeting my new teachers. I am happy with the subjects i have chosen, and hopeully i get accepted in Chisholm Digital Media and Technology VET course

Holidays :)

The first week of the holidays a friend and I did a Suzanne Johnston female finishing/deportment course. The course went for six hours a day so this meant travelling into the city everyday there and back. But it was definitely worth it because the things I learnt and the inspiring people I met will be something i will have for the rest of my life. I learnt posture, speech enhancement, communication skills, wardrobe, job interview techniques, nail and hair car, etiquette and day/evening make up. At the end we all received certificates we could put on our CV. 

Now we are back at school and but its feels strange because in only a few weeks I'll be in year 11 for roll over. 

Last Week Of Term

I can’t believe it’s nearly end of term 3! This year has gone so quickly and I am finally finding myself into this new school. My subjects are down for next year, all hopefully leading me into a career in the media. I am also relieved that it’s almost holidays because I am so overwhelmed with homework and essays, I can’t wait until I’m able to escape and relax.  So far ICT is one my favourite electives so far as well as media. I have enjoyed learning how to use the internet in creative ways, and how to run programs I have never been able to use before.

Year 11 Subjects!

Today we were given sheets with the hard task to choose what sujects we are going to do next year. Are we going to choose Vcal or VET/VCE? What path is going to lead us to our future jobs. At the moment i am still not decided on what i want to do or be. But i want to keep my options open by choosing subjects that will help me get into most UNI courses. I am very interested in the media/film industry. Working on set of a film or tv show by producing, editing, directing or doing the continuity would be my dream job. But more realistic ideas would be becoming a teacher or a phycoclogist. So i am thinking i am going to choose the following for my subjects next year:
- ICT Units 3&4
- Maths Standard
-English (I'd prefer if it was literature)
-Media
-Human Development
-VET course (Digital Media)
 I want to keep all my options open!

Hey, This is my first blog. I have chosen ICT at school this semester because i am very interested in IT. I would like to be able to understand and descover new and wonderful ways to use the web and computer. The world is developing quickly, and new technology, computer programs and websites are being invented everyday. I would love to be able to learn how to use these new IT techonolgies in creative ways.
